High School Career:
Josh Christopher attended Mayfair High School in Lakewood, California, where he quickly established himself as a premier basketball talent. As a sophomore, he averaged 25.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3.6 assists per game, leading his team to a 21–8 record. In his junior year, he maintained his high performance with an average of 25 points per game, securing the Division 2AA championship. His senior year was marked by impressive stats: 29.2 points, 8 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 3.1 steals per game, guiding Mayfair to the CIF Southern Section Division 1 quarterfinals. Christopher was selected for prestigious events like the McDonald's All-American Game, Jordan Brand Classic, and Nike Hoop Summit, though these were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
College Career:
A consensus five-star recruit, Christopher committed to Arizona State University, becoming the program's highest-ranked recruit in the modern era. In his freshman season (2020–2021), he played 15 games, averaging 14.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. His season was cut short due to a leg injury. On March 31, 2021, he declared for the NBA Draft, forgoing his remaining college eligibility.
Professional Career:
