NEWS
In what has become a signature event on the youth basketball calendar, the 17th Annual Vegas Elite Invitational Basketball Tournament once again proved why it stands apart from the rest. With 190 teams converging on Las Vegas from coast to coast, the two-day hoops showcase delivered unforgettable moments across four bustling gymnasiums throughout the city.
The March 29-30 extravaganza featured boys and girls divisions across multiple age groups and skill levels, creating a perfect storm of competitive basketball. What separates the Vegas Elite Invitational? As tournament organizers proudly state: “Not all events are created equal – they aren’t run the same – they don’t have the same feel or the same energy โ WE DO!”
That energy was palpable throughout the weekend, particularly in several nail-biting championship matchups. The 14U Boys Gold division saw Sin City Sauce Boys Inferno edge out 1 of 1 in a thrilling 37-34 contest that came down to clutch free throws in the final minutes. Similarly, the 15U Boys Silver East division featured CM 2029 Global barely escaping with a 39-37 victory over West Coast Rebels in a back-and-forth affair that had spectators on the edge of their seats.
Perhaps the most dramatic finale came in the 17U Boys East division, where VEBC Team Decisive outlasted Salt Lake Rebels 17U Black in a 61-58 barnburner that showcased the remarkable talent level present throughout the tournament.
The girl’s divisions delivered equally compelling action. ABC Lady Spotlight captured the Girls MS East championship with a heart-stopping 21-20 victory over VEBC 7 Blue, while the 17U Girls American division saw VEBC 17U National hold off FBC NW Alliance 35-32 in another contest that demonstrated the razor-thin margin between these elite programs.

Tournament director Brian Sitter reflected on the event’s success: “Watching these young athletes compete at such a high level reminds us why we’ve been committed to this tournament for 17 years. The passion, sportsmanship, and skill on display create an atmosphere unlike any other youth basketball event.”
Local powerhouse Vegas Elite Basketball Club was well-represented among the champions, capturing titles in multiple divisions, including the 11U Boys (VEBC 4 Blue), 13U Boys Gold (VEBC 7 Blue), and 17U Girls American (VEBC 17U National) brackets.
For those looking to relive the excitement, comprehensive photo albums and videos from the weekend are available at Vegaselitebasketballclub.org. As another successful Vegas Elite Invitational goes into the books, basketball enthusiasts are already looking forward to what the 18th annual edition will bring.
